About the exhibition
- Summer Dreams was born out of the artist´s exposure to the Spanish beach culture and comprises seventeen new textile works inspired in her travels through the country and some other pieces with the same inspirational theme.
- Says Willow: Fictitious notions of tourism and the perfect beach, a calm, serene vista without people inspire me. I seek to capture this vision, together with the transience of people, who, even when they are no longer there, leave their imprint.
- Abstract colour, layering, repetition and composition are central to my work, and combine with many techniques to create individual contemporary textiles”.
