• Concert to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the first publication of El Quijote SBS Orchestra conducted by Matthew Krel, Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium of Music – Admission free

• Lecture on Don Quixote, Cervantes and Charles V, by Dr. José Pablo Alzina, deputy head of the embassy, at the School of Languages, Australian National University, on the invitation of the Goethe Society

19 May – 12pm; 3:00pm and 7:00pm

• Screening of films about Don Quijote, jointly organized with the Australian National, Ian Wark Theatre, Shine Dome, Gordon St., Canberra – Admission free

June to Decembre 2005

• Scholar excursions to the Embassy on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the publication of "El Quijote"

• An evening of readings from "El Quijote", in Spanish and English at the University of Canberra

• Exhibition: "Summer Dreams" by Willow Hart. The 2004 winner of the Spanish Embassy Exhibition Award presents a textile artwork inspired by her travels through Spain. At the Embassy of Spain from 7th. to 21st. July 2005 .

• Presentation of the book "Bridges" launched by Dr. José Pablo Alzina, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Spain in Canberra. At the ANCA Gallery in Canberra.
